Early Atrial fibrillation Screening for Indigenous people (EASI) Description: The EASI study co-designs screening of Indigenous people for atrial fibrillation (AF) in primary care, evaluates the patient pathway, and develops a framework to scale the approach. Previous work found Indigenous people need to be screened 10 years earlier than current guidelines. Technology-based, community screening was found to be acceptable and feasible. Earlier screening for AF in Indigenous people (aged over 55) aims to ensure early detection, timely treatment, and ultimately reduce the rate of AF-related stroke.
